Privacy policy.
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and does not track you. This page explains what that leaves — and what happens when you email us.
There are no forms on datasphere.com. No accounts, no logins, no newsletter, no cookies, no analytics, no ad tags and no tracking scripts of any kind.
We do not build profiles and we do not sell personal data. Our host keeps brief server logs to run the site, two providers deliver fonts and an animation runtime to your browser, and we keep the emails you send us so we can reply to them. That is the whole of it.
Who we are
Datasphere is a product studio. We build, market and scale our own products. This site is where we talk about that work and how to reach us.
Datasphere is operated by Curious Objects LLP, Sharjah Media City, Sharjah, Dubai. For anything on this page we are the data controller, and privacy questions go to hello@datasphere.com.
This policy covers this website only. Our products run on their own domains and each one publishes its own privacy policy where the handling differs. Your use of this site is also subject to our terms of use.
What we collect
There are no contact forms on this site, no newsletter signup, no login and no comments. What reaches us falls into three categories, and two of them only happen if you choose to write to us.
| Category | What it is | How it reaches us |
|---|---|---|
| Server logs | IP address, browser and device user-agent, page requested, referring page, timestamp | Automatically, via our host, on every request |
| Email correspondence | Your name, email address and whatever you put in the message | Only if you email us |
| Job applications | CV, work history, links, anything else you send with an application | Only if you apply to work with us |
We do not ask for, and have no way to collect through this site, payment details, government identifiers, health data or any other special-category data. We do no profiling and no automated decision-making.
Cookies & local storage
This site sets no cookies. Not essential ones, not analytics ones, not advertising ones.
It also writes nothing to your browser’s local storage or session storage. Nothing about your visit is kept on your device, so there is no preference to set and no banner to dismiss.
Third-party content
This site loads no analytics, no tag manager, no trackers, no pixels, no ad tags, no embeds and no chat widgets.
It does make requests to two third parties, and we would rather name them than let you find them in your network tab:
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) serves one of the two typefaces this site uses. Our display typeface is served from our own domain; this one is not.
- unpkg (unpkg.com) serves the WebAssembly runtime behind the animations on the home page.
Loading a file from either of them means your browser makes a request to them, and a request carries your IP address and user-agent. Neither is used to track you and neither sets a cookie on this site, but they do see the request. If that matters to you, a content blocker will stop both and the site will still work.
Our links to Instagram and X are ordinary hyperlinks. Nothing loads from those platforms until you click through, and once you do you are on their turf and their policies.
Why we process it
Each category has one purpose. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our basis is legitimate interest in running and defending the website and in answering the people who write to us; where you email us or apply to us, processing is also necessary to do the thing you asked for.
Server logs
To serve pages, keep the site available, and investigate errors, abuse and attacks. They are not used to identify or track individual visitors.
Email correspondence
To read your message, reply to it, and keep the thread coherent if the conversation continues.
Job applications
To assess your application and talk to you about it.
We do not use any of it for advertising, and we do not sell, rent or trade personal data.
International transfers
We operate from the UAE and our providers run global infrastructure, so data may be processed outside the country you are in — including in the United States and the EU.
Where a transfer leaves a region that restricts them, we rely on the safeguards our providers put in place, including the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Server logs
Kept briefly by our host for operations and security, then rotated out. We do not copy them into long-term storage.
Email correspondence
Kept for as long as the conversation or the relationship lasts, plus up to 24 months, then deleted.
Job applications
Kept for up to 12 months in case something else opens up, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
If you ask us to delete something, we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS/TLS, so traffic between your browser and us is encrypted in transit. It is a static site: there is no database behind it and no application accepting input from visitors.
Access to our email and hosting accounts is limited to the people who need it and protected with strong authentication.
One honest caveat: email is not a secure channel. Please do not send us passwords, card numbers, identity documents or anything else sensitive by email — ask us first and we will find a safer route.
Your rights
Depending on where you are — under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, the CCPA/CPRA and comparable laws — you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct it if it is wrong or incomplete
- Have it deleted
- Restrict or object to how we use it, including processing based on legitimate interest
- Receive it in a portable, machine-readable form
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these
Email hello@datasphere.com and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge.
You can also complain to your local data protection authority, though we would rather you came to us first and gave us the chance to fix it.
Children’s data
This site is aimed at people who use our products and people who might want to build them with us. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
If a child has sent us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
If what we do changes — if we ever add a form, or analytics, or anything else that touches your data — this page changes first, and the “last updated” date at the top changes with it.
Material changes get flagged rather than quietly amended.
Contact
Privacy questions, a request to exercise any of the rights above, or a correction to something on this page — all go to the same place as everything else: hello@datasphere.com. It is a small studio and a real person reads it.
