The rules for using this website. Short, plain, and written to be read rather than clicked past.

The short version

This is a studio’s website. Read it, share it, get in touch. Don’t scrape it, don’t republish it as your own, and don’t treat anything on it as a binding commitment.

Our products live on their own domains under their own terms, and those terms govern the products. If anything here ever contradicts an agreement we have both signed, the signed agreement wins.

01

These terms

Datasphere is operated by Curious Objects LLP, Sharjah Media City, Sharjah, Dubai. These terms govern your use of datasphere.com. Using the site means you accept them.

How we handle personal data is a separate matter, covered in our privacy policy.

02

What this site is

This site is an introduction to a product studio: what we build, how we work, and how to reach us. That is all it does.

There are no accounts here, nothing is sold here, and no product is delivered through this domain. Every product we run lives somewhere else, with its own sign-up, its own terms and its own privacy policy.

03

Not an offer

Nothing on this site is a contractual offer, a quote, a price or a commitment to build anything.

Descriptions of our work, our products and what we are planning are illustrative and can change without notice. Exchanging emails with us does not create an agreement — an agreement is something we both sign.

04

Our products

We build and run our own products. We are not an agency and we do not take on client work, so nothing on this site should be read as an offer of services.

Each product is governed by its own terms and privacy policy, agreed to when you sign up for that product. Those documents govern your use of it; this page governs only your use of this website. Where the two ever disagree about a product, the product’s own terms win.

Anything said here about a product — its features, its availability, its pricing, what is coming next — is marketing, not a commitment. Products change, and some of them get shut down.

05

Intellectual property

The design, code, copy, images, animations and the Datasphere name and mark are ours, or used with permission. Product names, screenshots and interface designs shown here belong to us.

Third-party names, logos and marks that appear on this site belong to their respective owners and are used to identify them, nothing more.

You may read the site, and quote or link to it with attribution — that is welcome. What you may not do is in the next section.

06

Acceptable use

Please don’t:

  • Copy, mirror or republish the site, or a substantial part of it, as your own
  • Scrape or bulk-harvest it with automated tools
  • Use it to train or fine-tune machine learning models without our written permission
  • Probe or attack it, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to anything behind it
  • Use it unlawfully, or in a way that infringes someone else’s rights

If you are a security researcher and you find something, we would genuinely like to hear about it: hello@datasphere.com.

07

Ideas you send us

We build our own products, which means we are always working on ideas of our own — sometimes ones that look a lot like yours.

So if you send us an unsolicited idea, pitch, concept or feature suggestion, please understand that we cannot treat it as confidential. We may already be building something similar, or may build it later, independently of you.

By sending us an unsolicited idea, you agree we are free to use it without obligation, payment or credit.

If you need a conversation to be confidential, say so before you send anything and we will put an NDA in place first. This section does not apply to anything covered by an agreement we have signed, and it does not apply to job applications.

08

Testimonials & opinions

Quotes and testimonials on this site come from people who use our products. They describe those people’s own experience and are not a promise that you will get the same result.

Anything we write about how we work, what we have learned or where we think things are going is opinion at the time of writing. It is not professional, legal, financial or technical advice, and you should apply your own judgement before acting on it.

10

Availability

We don’t promise the site will be available without interruption or free of errors. We may change, move or remove anything on it at any time, without notice.

11

Disclaimer

The site and everything on it is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that the content is accurate, complete or current.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss — including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or lost opportunity — arising from your use of this site or your reliance on anything on it.

13

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Sharjah, and the courts of Sharjah have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

14

Changes

We may update these terms. The version published here is the one that applies, and the “last updated” date at the top tells you when it changed. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept it.
